With closely working relationship with Chinese students, I am always looking forward to have a face to face interaction with IAESTE USA students. Luckily, only one week after my internship, I got the chance to go to Houston University for the Central regional conference with Mike. Excited!!!
Students from University of Houston, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and University of Tulsa joined us in the 2 day conference. We shared the stories from the interns of last year, leaned more about job raising, local committee management, fundraising, membership recruitment. The conference provides me the chance to deepen my knowledge of the IAESTE USA, as well as the operation of Local Committee. I was very happy to communicate with IAESTE students who share the same view of the benefit from the global working experience. We are all impressed by the foreign friends we made through IAESTE network which will encourage us to travel around the world.
Apart from the conference, we also went out to sightsee the down town area and try the typical Texas BBQ. As a Chinese, I have to mention the Yao Restaurant. Yao Min, the Chinese basketball player in NBA brought Houston famous in China, as well as his Yao restaurant. See the picture when we were enjoying the Chinese food.
